What the heck are you talking about?
I visited a home that had a Newfie and the darned thing tried to sit in my lap (really, it thought it was a lap dog). Darned near broke my leg! Now that is dangerous. :-)
I hope the Newfie's owner compensated you for buying new clothes. Their slobber is more effective at coloring things white than any paint carried at Home Depot.
But we enjoyed every slobber they laid on us. Tremendously affectionate, intelligent family members.
