Center mass shots to a large dog laying on the ground would be gut shots in my book. Not very merciful. The first shot, if it was really, really necessary should have been a head shot.
Assuming lousy shooting by the cop notwithstanding...
All I’m saying is at least the cop made dead sure the dog was dead.
