Oh we get a lot of folks who movee here and let their dogs roam loose.Most of those dogs don’t last a month.They either are put on leash runs or they get shot by wardens.
Few folks take training their dogs seriously these days, so they become nuisances to wild life and live stock.
Its good policy. You either treat your dog as more than an overstuffed teddy bear or he dies. COnservative culture meets wing nut culture. The conservative culture wins. I like that.

Mr. Amsden said if ANY warden shot a loose dog without evidence of being in the act of bringing down game, they would not have their job long. He said he has been a warden for ten years...and has NEVER shot a dog.
He did say that 20 years ago dogs were a problem, but not recently.
So the next time you want to twist laws/regs to fit your twisted interpretation of them, make sure you can't be crossed up by pesky facts.
That’s not conservative culture.
That’s statism.
Conservatives want as little government and officialdom as possible.
Anyone who shoots my dog had better make sure his affairs are in order.
