Stinks of weakness. Al Sharpton calls you a name and you respond by flagellating yourself and giving him something ... twice?

Leaders have to stand firm on principle. I'm not seeing the qualities of leadership in Haley Barbour. This is someone who increasingly looks like he will fold under the slightest pressure.

And no doubt heterosexually-challeged activists will be out in force if the museum excludes mention of the HOMO part of the civil rights movement.

He’s running for President. As it stands, he just jumped the shark.

This museum idea has been kicked around for decades. Haley didn’t fold to Al. But he is posturing. He’s been a great governor, he would make a decent President, but I do not support him running. He’s not electable.

Time to retire or work behind the scenes Haley.

THERE ALREADY IS ONE. IT’S IN CINCONNATI AND IT’S CALLED THE FREEDOM MUSEUM. NOBODY GOES THERE EXCEPT SCHOOL CHILDREN WHO ARE BUSED IN. THE CITY AND FEDS SPENT OVER $70 MILLION DOLLARES FOR IT. IT’S ON THE RIVERFRONT BETWEEN THE BENGALS STADIUM AND THE REDS BALLPARK. IT HAS DESTROYED THE MOST PROMINENT DEVELOPMENT SITE IN THE MIDWEST.

So Haley wants to throw some taxpayer money at a project to appease those offended by his statement? That doesn’t sound like Presidential material to me.

I don't care one way or the other, so long as not a single dime of taxpayer money is used to build or fund it.

This "museum", if built, will just be a shrine to race pimps like Sharpton and Jackson.

Let THEM pay for it.

Come on Haley, enough civil rights crap. We have far too much to correct instead of beating that worn out drum for the race baiters. Isn’t there more to repair and improve on the MS Gulf Coast?? Let’s get on with what’s really important, rebuild our government based on the US Constitution—and read ALL amendments this time...

Haley... you are my governor... I am ashamed of you... you balless pos. You are obviously trying to buy off the left for making a statement that was true... you are backing down from being right... in the face of pressure from the leftwing. You are weak... Sarah never would do that... you will never receive my support for any other office... maybe you can go fishing with Gene Taylor... he has a lot of time these days... soon you will to.

“Haley Barbour: Build civil rights museum”

Give us a friggin break already. We already have black history month, MLK Day, an ESPN special on the black athlete, commercials that depict whites as buffoons while blacks are depicted as corporate leaders. When is enough enough.

What a waste of money. Blacks already have a president. They have discriminatory affirmative action. We don’t owe them anything because 400 years ago their great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great grandfather was brought to this country against his will by some white guy’s great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great grandfather.

“People from around the world would flock to see the museum...”

Okay, maybe Mugabe would “flock” there. That’s one. Can anyone think of #2 “from around the world” that will “flock” there? Ah, Idi Amin. That’s two. How about #3, anyone?

I’m all for it.

Build a museum demonstrating how Republicans overcame racist Democrats and their thugs and terrorist organizations to make a people free.

Sounds good to me.
