I read that State Sen. Matt Murphy will propose a bill to repeal the income tax rate increase. I think it might pass, since the new legislature will have more Republicans, in the senate and house.
I assume repeal could pass since the hike only passed 60-57 and 30-29 with the old legislature.
The question is if Madigan and Cullerton will try to keep it from getting a vote.
Of course his excellency would use the bill to blow his nose and then veto it.
