I’ve never had any word on whether they are gone forever, or might be resurrected at some point.

I don't have any insider information at all. I'm just a peon FReeper who wants FR to continue on into the future even better than it is now. And I'm not rich enough to donate the big bucks so I'm doing the only thing I can think of and that's getting the word out, plain and simple.
