Heightened and "vitriolic" political rhetoric is being blamed by some for the kind of violence that landed Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords in intensive care following a mass casualty shooting on Saturday, but others say a blame game is hardly appropriate or useful right now.
Pima County, Ariz., Sheriff Clarence Dupnik sparked much of the debate during a press conference Saturday evening in which he blamed talk radio and television for a decline in America.
"I think the vitriolic rhetoric that we hear day in and day out from people in the radio business and some people in the TV business and what (we) see on TV and how our youngsters are being raised, that this has not become the nice United States of America that most of us grew up in. And I think it's time that we do the soul-searching," the sheriff said.

Pretty ironic considering the fact that Giffords herself was the one to read the 1st amemdment on the house floor the other day.
AND Fox just interviewed live the woman that picked up the magazine from the gun and went on to say that the Sheriff was right about his comments, it’s the REPUBLICANS that are causing the problems saying about “job-killing bills” it shouldn’t be called that.
WTF - what’s that got to do with the shooting? I wish FOX would check out these people BEFORE they go live!
This ‘effin idiot was a leftist kool aid drinker! Tell the truth!
The sheriff is an idiot.
Classic progressivism.
Since Fox has stopped being Fair and Balanced, they will interview any kook off the street. Including whacked out Sheriffs.
Shut your pie hole and do your job!
Take a little ownership--
Man up....
The drug /human /terrorism smuggling freeway of the western world...

Take care of your own scuzzy laundry before you lecture me about my civil liberties...
Another [DIM] idiot....
It is unconscionable that a person in LE would use this opportunity to make a political statement that is completely off-base and has absolutely NOTHING to do with the case he is working. He should be forced out of office over this.

And the 9 year-old child, Christine, who was born on 9-11. Very sad and tragic.
The Sheriff ‘behaved’ indecently.
bump!
Sheriff Butthead.
Sheriff Nitwit.
Which do you like best?

He’s a vocal opponent of Brewer’s recent legislation that focused on illegal immigration. Don’t let this moron ruin your day.
Fox was the medium who initially wrote about possible connections with a “right extremist group” - MSNBC picked it up and ran with it. They just mentioned it again on NBC. We’ve had no protection this weekend.
Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik failed to protect the community.
Even the college saw this man as a threat.
AZ involuntary commitment laws would have bolstered what the Community College saw and acted upon.
To stay in office he has to assign blame away from his duties.
Pima County Sheriff Clarence W. Dupnik knew
that JL was a a threat to Congresswoman Giffords
and to the residents of Pima county and chose to not
fulfill his obligation as Sheriff.Clarence was derelict in his duty
and complicit in mass murder.Clarence needs to be indicted as complicit
to mass murder and terrorism.
I have to wonder if the sheriff will affect the investigation and insert conclusions that support his political statements. He can decide what to emphasize, what to followup on, and how to write the final report. A true leftist/Obama follower would have no problem trying to sweep away Palin, the Tea Party and conservatives in general as obstacles to the creation of the Perfect State.
These people can’t ruin my day...I am too well prepared and informed. :)
This is just another example of the rabid and mentally ill left and their approach to everything - IT IS ALL ABOUT PROPOGANDA and nothing ABOUT TRUTH...
Well maybe “protection” is the wrong word - perhaps seeking the truth - the whole truth...is a better way to phrase it. Brett on Fox was the only one I’ve heard who didn’t swallow the spin.
