Do you have a link about the sheriff having a lawyer?
The charges against Loughner claim that Judge Roll was at that event on official business; he had been informed of the event by telephone the day before, or thereabouts. The FBI being able to investigate depends on Roll NOT just deciding on the spur of the moment to “turn the corner and say hi”, as the sheriff wanted everyone to believe immediately. The sheriff acted like he knew all about Roll’s thoughts, his relationship with Giffords, what he was doing. How would he know all that? How would he know whether Roll had planned to be at that event or had just decided on the spur of the moment? How would he have even known about him “turning the corner” to attend the event? Did he know Roll’s route from the church back to his house, or what route he would take to get to Safeway?
If I was that sheriff I’d be lawyering up too, about now.
Blame the Tea Party? It’s how some politicians roll.
This guy never had anything to do with the Tea Party, Sarah Palin, or Republicans. But that won’t stop the accusations, which are just based on post hoc reasoning.
The overall tone of the political rhetoric has caused this.
That’s cool, because the Left uses extreme, ad hominem rhetoric.

Here’s the truth. I expect some apologies forthcoming to Sarah, Beck and others pronto! /sarc
Because NOTHING is their fault,Their father, mother, drill SGT, teacher, up bringing, cheating girl friend, homo boy friend, ... never stops.
The link to Legal Insurrection is very interesting. The attorney there went to Harvard Law school and graduated in 1984; I know this is a bit before 0-steaming pile’s time, but maybe he has connections and knows stuff.
It only matters that he was bat-sh!t nuts.
Neither the left or right should be defensive on this one.
This letter is the equivalent of Monica’s blue dress. It removes all doubt. Even Holder couldn’t cover this up. If the GOP has any cajones, they’ll be hauling all these slander clowns into Congress and getting them under OATH.
