A democratic operative admitted this to The Politico.
Of course, Politico buried it in their story.

For her to be shot in the head from no more than 4 ft away and survive with hope of recovery is definitely fishy.
I’m glad she survived and I wish her to recover fully. I wish everybody who was there would have survived and recovered fully.
But how could somebody who intended to definitely kill Giffords have a whole gun-full of bullets, be within 4 feet of the intended target, and not manage to kill her?
Hitler did the exact same thing with the events leading up to Kristalnacht. In that case, Herschel Grynszpan (sometimes spelled “Greenspan”) killed a German diplomat in France which Hitler used as a pretext for Kristalnacht.
So OKC was a bit more like the Reichstag fire, but this more recent event, is a bit more like the events of Nov. 1938.

That scenario is particularly chilling when it is seen that the judge who was killed indicated he was going to rule against Obama’s powers associated with an Executive Order that would allow him to set up governors to take over the US in a national emergency.
I need to read more closely to find the exact details, but the judge who was killed may well have stood in the way of Obama being able to take over the country in a very specific way through a national emergency that the Cloward-Piven folks may well be working on manufacturing as we speak. Or Obama’s Islamist or communist buddies. All it would take is for Napolitano to screw up again, letting an effective terrorist get past.
The Giffords shooting (with Giffords left in remarkably good condition after being shot at point-blank range) could have been a good cover to kill Judge Roll, who will now be replaced by a judge of Obama’s choosing to decide this critical case for Obama.
The sheriff is stepping further into it now, live, on Fox.
I have a liberal brother also and I nipped any of his rants in the bud by sending him the bio we freepers immediately got from facebook showing this guy as a pure lunatic.

That piece I led you to says that this judge made that ruling against Obama just 72 hours prior to his murder. So it was done.
It also says this happened right after the US Marshal security was removed.
Someone said this morning that that judge had went to Mass that day before this happened.

I wonder if this cash-grabbing executive order that Judge Roll had issued a preliminary judgment on would call into legal question whether the constitutionality of other EO’s Obama has issued.
I can’t tell when that report was written, to know what day it means when it says “Last Friday”. What day did Judge Roll issue his preliminary judgment?
I also smell a terrible stink with this episode. Nothing makes sense in the narrative being passed on by the media or the official sources.

When the dems develop a talking point on a subject they go through focus groups to see what works and what doesn't work.
That's not something that can be done in a matter of minutes, hours, or even days. It can take weeks or even months to develop talking points.
The left has had something planned for a long time.
I have no doubt this shooting took them by surprise, but they jumped on the opportunity and they are using the talking points they had planned to use for something else.

When first heard about it seemed unlikely that untrained gunman could get off so many shots and hit so many targets in short time. Especially when shooter was revealed to be dopey doper. Then heard about possibility of 2nd shooter. Now that FBI has taken over investigation will the ballistics reports be made public? Could it be shown more that 1 shooter?

So maybe the rest of the shooting is a decoy for the real motive - taking out the judge.
It's more likely that Jared didn't know who the judge was...he was shooting randomly. I read that JL only voted in the 2008 general election...not the recent election. I haven't seen anything that suggests he was all that interested in politics.

Here’s a site that claims Judge Roll called his wife to tell her he had heard that Giffords was going to be at Safeway so he was going to stop by and congratulate her for being re-elected. I’d like to check the eyewitness statements regarding how Loughton entered the Safeway area. The link above says Judge Roll lived just a couple of blocks from Safeway. It also says that he attended Mass daily, so it would have been a piece of cake for anybody to know that was where he’d be and/or to follow him.
