I must respectfully state that I do not believe that God willed this evil, or any evil, to happen. God allows people to do evil because God cannot/will not intervene in our free will and responsibility. But to say that anything like this was “God’s will” is disturbing to me. God wills us to do good, reject evil, and to love one another above all. When we do not, God grieves with those we hurt. We are not pawns, we are free agents.
