The name Jared is Jewish, and Loughner is German name that is associated with Jews and Catholics. It is possible that Jared is nominally Jewish, at least by heritage rather than actual practice.
This is such a relevant post - thank you! I’m already sick of the insinuations from the media and those on the left that the divisive political rhetoric is coming from conservatives and has somehow caused this terrible tragedy.
The FBI should be monitoring the Daily Kos at the very least.
I don’t think the two are related other than both being left wing nut jobs. The Kos ranter appears to be at least a few years older and states that they have donated to Giffords’s campaign. There is no record of a Jared Loughner from Arizona having donated to her campaign. Of course, like most liberals, he could have been lying to impress the other liberals.
Everything BB posted on Kos yesterday seems scrubbed now.

Your welcome. It is really disturbing I was just shocked yesterday with what Google search turned up. You know how FR has been slow for at least 3 days now? Well it was being said the site was being scrubbed yesterday because of it LIARS! I can’t tell you how many times I had problems a few days before this ever happened getting on site, people were asking me if it was slow and I remember a vanity post (I can’t remember from whom though) asking if the site had problems.
Then I saw they were claiming the shooter was a Freeper at HuffPo, the FBI should be monitoring that site as well. They immediately laid the blame on Conservatives.
It seems unlikely Blue Boy is the shooter since that poster came on later yesterday saying how awful he felt after what happened. (Whether or not that’s true is beside the point) I guess it’s POSSIBLE that in the middle of all the online chaos Markos jumped on and typed that statement of regret FOR BB...but if so- he intefered with a federal murder investigation and would find himself in some very hot water. It seems unlikely.
From Jim’s extensive research of BlueBoy’s postings at KOS- BB, while clearly a leftist, seemed quite a bit more rational than the shooter. Although he said he had mobility issues since he’d tried to kill himself- so maybe rational was the wrong word for me to choose ;)
Still- BB claims to live in AZ and I’m sure his postings will receive some scrutiny and they can be retrieved by forensic techs.
WOO HOO!!!! Looks like some of the kos kiddies might be doing jail time. The GOP house needs to adminsiter an injunction, seizing their servers ASAP.
If the DHLS is retreiving and scrubing his postings, what makes you think the FEC wouldn’t do the same thing?
Yes, I’ve noticed that the site takes several seconds to come up and longer to post! I was thinking how terrible it is for this to happen now because of the FReepathon going on and how that might slow the donations if people get frustrated with the slowness of the site.
I hope Jim Rob address this issue.
Agree with you. I read the Boy Blue post and felt it unlikely that he is the shooter. For starters he said something about having raised 100K for her.
I doubt that Loughner could have raised 10 bucks for anyone, let alone 100K.

It is pretty clear that “Boy Blue” is not the shooter. The posts make it clear that he is much older, and he also describes himself as “married” for three years to another man and living in Massachusetts.
