yes, if any of us has a personal relationship w/our reps we need to contact them weekly at least to let them know we’re 1) watching them and their votes, 2) that we agree/disagree with what they’re doing, and 3)encourage them that “they are not alone” — we’re going to send more reinforcements in November 2012! Seems to me we need to encourage the conservatives in congress to be more strategic. Letting the lame duck congress get away with all they did was pretty outrageous! I do most of my contacting on postcards because a post card doesn’t need to go through any mailroom scrutiny—one can be very terse and concise and hopefully it gets read-—plus the cost is minimal.
