On Sunday, February 6, 2011, the world will turn its eyes to Arlington, TX for Super Bowl XLV, to be held at the Dallas Cowboys' new stadium.
February 6 is also notable for another "cowboy" - this one, an actor-turned-President. February 6, 2011 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of this nation's 40th President, Ronald Reagan.

Hooray! I’m usually traveling and busy when they hold the Superbowl, but this time I should be home!

Unlike most presidents, long into the future hopefully Reagan’s birth date will be acknowledged with an extra zero, 1,000 years ago in past tense.
And with a little more luck in some 900 years, the worst president ever will still be the same one we have now.

The Super Bowl Organizing Committee can save money on the fireworks by just watching the collective heads of the liberals explode when they see this.

I'm sure I read earlier this week that Obama has planned some sort of appearance for the Super Bowl, though I don't recall exactly what it was. Let's hope he doesn't try to spoil this homage to a truly great American president.

A tribute is being planned as part of the Super Bowl festivities in Texas, though specific details are largely being kept under wraps at the moment. This made my day. There's more at the link about other commemorative tributes going on worldwide, including statues being erected in the capitals of former Soviet bloc countries. I can't wait!

Obama is going to be interviewed by Ted Baxter (O’Reilly) on the pregame show. I don’t think he’d actually show up at the Super Bowl in Texas, where he would have an excellent chance of being booed.

Is the Regan tribute after the O’Reily propaganda extravaganza?

Hopefully, the Reagan tribute will help offset the BORe-Obama barf fest. I stopped watching BORe a few months ago and am much happier for doing so.

Cool. If you thought commielibs had a meltdown over the Tim Tebow ad, imagine the cow they’re going to have over this!

How about that. This years Super Bowl is on Ronald Reagan’s 100th birthday. That’s great.

If Jerry Jones had anything to do with this, it makes like him a little more... even if I still cannot forgive him for how he treated Tom Landry.

Unless it's a tribute to himself, you can be guaranteed that Jones had nothing to do with it.

Ha, ha, I imagine you are correct.

My hope is that the Reagan commemoration occurs right at gametime itself, rather than during the ten-hour pregame foisted upon us.
