I think you've just put your finger on it. In years past we've (most of us) been content to send our people to Washington and trust that things would work out. We won't be doing that this time; we'll be pushing hard every step and every day. She will have the kind of backing (and the kind of push-back) that most of our politicians haven't had. We can't and I think we won't leave her hanging out there alone to face the incoming artillery.
Pres. GW Bush tried to do a great thing by taking on Social Security at the beginning of his second term. His party in congress let him down big time but so did we, the American people. If we had a tea party movement back them, we could have done a great service to our country in getting his reforms through the congress. We can’t continue to have these missed opportunities.
