They see her as dead meat and easy prey because the GOP hated her and abandoned her. This is to teach a lesson to us folks on the Tea Party side.

However, this is part of a bigger thing. The Dems don’t care about Rangel and his misdeeds, but they will spend a million dollars on an audit of Republicans to find a fifty cent error.

When I worked on the Bush campaign in Florida, one of the things we had to contend with was virtually daily audits and threats from the Federal government (under Clinton at that time) carried forward by a local Democrat “activist” with the cooperation of the local press, which of course was a New York Times paper.

Unfortunately, this works, and by the end of it all we could accept virtually no donations and people were even scared to give us any.

I think the establishment of both parties want to purge and punish true reformers...

My prediction is that RINOs like Hatch, Snowe, Brown, Lugar etc will all get full Repub Party support in 2012... we need to primary them hard.
