William Scott Ritter Jr., a former United Nations weapons inspector who gained renown for his criticism of U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East, contends his online sexual encounters with teenage girls were only fantasy.
Nearly two years ago, Ritter, of Delmar, watched his computer screen reveal that an anonymous person who had been exchanging sexually charged messages with him for 80 minutes was not a 15-year-old girl.
It was a cop from a small town in northeast Pennsylvania, alone in his station house and trolling the Internet for suspected child predators.
Ryan Venneman, a detective for the Barrett Township Police Department in Monroe County, had enough after Ritter allegedly transmitted streaming video of himself…

When you're an anti-war liberal, there are a lot of anti-war libs in govt. who have all kinds of contacts in the media to keep your extracurricular activities out of the news. GW Bush would've been crucified for buying a Maxim magazine. They made a big deal because his military records showed that he flew a few missed approaches (not knowing what that actually means).
For awhile we had pro-Ritter trolls showing up back in 2003 or so.

Men like that all try to claim it’s “fantasy” and they really knew it was a cop all along, but sorry, that doesn’t work (especially after the men in question have sent off pictures of their private parts, which is evidently what they think teenage girls are dying to see). He thought this was a young teenage girl, that’s what he was after, and it’s fortunate for the teenage girls out there that he was wrong.
Don’t think he ever worked for Fox.
He was interviewed by David Asman, I remember, and maybe appeared other times but it was generally not on especially friendly terms-—Ritter hated W. Bush and showed up all over the place to make his views known.
If anything the guy showed up more often on the lib networks, PBS and the lefty cable shows that endorsed his Bush-Lied-People-Died line of b.s.
