DADT was a kind of nothing burger but it was a big deal to a very few people. DADT will be completely forgotten in March of 2011 and there probably will never be blatantly open homosexuals sharing bunks, showers and foxholes.

You are sadly mistaken, we have lost the culture war. When the military Chain of Command is fully faggoted, a hetero will not stand a chance.

DADT is a game changer, we live in OFFICIALLY queer society now.

I think you greatly overstate any crossover impact the repeal of DA/DT might have in the civilian society. The gay agenda is actually much further along outside the military than within the military. I've never heard of anyone being kicked out of civilian society for telling that they are gay, or being required to remain silent about the fact.

And the military will be still be much more restrictive place for gays, and for heterosexuals for that matter. The great challenge on the civilian side is to find ways to prevent the courts from all sorts of rulings that a good majority of the people oppose. That's already been proven.

Republicans had Obama pinned against the wall... all they had to do was drive a stake through his political heart by filibustering everything in the lame duck... but instead they let him up and gave him a few pints of blood for the road.

They may have just handed Obama 2012.

This is the worst I have felt in over a year, and nothing the Republicans can do over the next 2 years is going to fix the catastrophe which just occurred.

Nailed it!!

What the GOP needs to do for us, not Obama, not his followers, not his administration and his agency heads
1-Defund the FCC, EPA, HUD and agencies that feel free to dictate from an unelected post.
2- repeal Obamacare, not fix, not compromise, not amend, REPEAL!
We now hold the purse strings and the GOP and the newly elected had better do what we sent them there to do!

If homosexual activity was genetic, by this stage in evolution there would be no homosexuals. It is a social issue compounded by the ability of gays to now have children via forms of artificial insemination and adoption. They ony make up about 1% of the total armed forces, some proponents of repeal put the number at 5%. Yet homosexuals are on the cusp of becoming a protected class in the military. At the expense of the other 95 to 99%.

I am going to re-post your last post on another thread,

If you support the homosexual agenda you are anti-Constitution and you'll get the zot from FR!

Just wanted to give you a heads up.

I thought Charles was brighter than that....even MANY Democrat Blacks have a hard time with the “gay” issue. He really is outta touch.

What you say is true, I have worked in the civilian sector with gays and it was never an issue. But I go home at night to my family, and I do not deploy with them, sleep and shower with them or watch them swap spit in a uniform with over 200 years of tradition and honor.

Civilian and military life are two entirely different worlds, that is why we have the UCMJ. That is why Congress must insist the military strictly follow the UCMJ. The military is already downsizing, one Art 15 hearing (court)conviction and your career is over. ANYONE having sex in single quarters should be punished, is disrupts good order and discipline. While gays will not be forced out after a Art 15, they will not be allowed to renew their contract.

I really have to disagree w/ Charles on this one. The repeal was merely repayment to a small constituency.

I will go one step further. Such short term memories the media has. Health care "reform" was as well heralded a great victory for 0bamarX0. -the rest of the story --IT was catalyst for Tea Party.

In my opinion, I would trade short term lame duck victory headlines for long term seats in the house and senate any time. I think we will see a Tea Party on steroids in 2012 now...

Wasn’t Krauthammer already singing the praises of Obama even a few days before the DADT/START votes? He was ready with his ‘comeback kid’ narrative even before those supposed ‘victories.’

I certainly remember him looking down his nose and finding both the Town Hall Protests and the Tea Party events as “unseemly” and predicted they would backfire.

If the election comes down to a choice between Obama and Palin, I’ve become pretty certain at this point that he’d vote for Obama.

The republicans had momentum and then they pissed it away in the Senate. What a bunch of losers.

We now hold the purse strings and the GOP and the newly elected had better do what we sent them there to do!

Well placed words ronnie, We as conservatives hold the values, the GOP (should) represent those values via dictate.

Of late the battle has been between leftist agenda and the fight to make the leftist agenda palatable.

The fight of the Constitution as dictate, has been watered to the point of being neutered politically.

I stopped watching FOXNEWS, it has become way to inside the beltway. No common sense and Krauthammer spends too much time lecturing us poor folk in fly over country. He and Crystal and all the other so called conservatives, are social liberals.

Palin should never have signed with FOXNEWS, I understand she had to make money somehow, but they are far from fair and balanced on social issues. They side lined Tony Snowe, (I truly miss that man, we exchanged some personal emails once and it was like talking to an old friend not a TV personality)Brit Hume is not on regularly and Hannity is just white noise now. Please do not get me started on O'Reilly

I guess after so many years on the air, these channels become CNN'd and stop relating to their audience.
