HONOLULU — Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie, who befriended President Obama’s parents when they were university students here, has been in office for less than three weeks. But he is so incensed over the “birthers” — conspiracy theorists who assert Mr. Obama was born in Kenya and challenge his right to be president — that he is already seeking ways to change Hawaiian law or regulation to allow him to release additional proof that the president was born in a hospital here in 1961.

“It’s an insult to his mother and to his father, and I knew his mother and father — they were my friends, and I have an emotional interest in that,” Gov. Abercrombie said in a telephone interview late Thursday night. “It’s an emotional insult, it is disrespectful to the president, it is disrespectful to the office.”

Mr. Abercrombie, who represented Honolulu in Congress until leaving Washington to run for governor, said he has initiated conversations with his attorney general and his health secretary about how he can make public more explicit documentation of Mr. Obama’s birth on Aug. 4, 1961, at Kapi’olani Maternity and Gynecological Hospital in Honolulu. He said he has done so of his own accord, without any request from the president or the White House, which declined to comment.

“He’s a big boy, he can take sticks and stones, but there’s no reason on Earth to have the memory of his parents insulted by people who’s motivation is solely political,” Mr. Abercrombie said. “Let’s put this particular canard to rest.”

And he is the only person to claim he knew them as a couple at that time. And what kind of “social events” would they be taking the newborn to between his birth and his mother’s arrival in Washington to visit her high school friend when he was only about 3 weeks old?

Experts in fraud (that would be me) say Obama’s failure to sign a release of his HI vital records even to keep LTC Lakin out of jail is a giant red flag for fraud and usurpation in this case.

Observing that Obama has failed to release what should be exculpatory records (records that would get him off the hook if they contain what he claims they contain) is not belief in a conspiracy theory, it is simple observation of Obama’s self-incriminating behavior.

There was no Kapiolani Hospital in 1961. It wasn't built until the mid '70s.

Besides, the laws of the State of Hawaii are meant to protect records from dissemination to any persons not the individual or a family member with cause.

The law is valid and sensible. Changing it for the benefit of perpetuating a fraud is simply inane. Only an extremist governor with personal ties to the perpetrator of the fraud would attempt to violate the existing law.


Only a few find the way, some don't recognize it when they do - some... don't ever want to.

I think Abercommy is going to release selective things. They know they have a problem getting on ballots in 2012.

They cant open his records because he became an Indonesian citizen. Adoption records were filed with the state for an Indonesian boy. Once one record is allowed out, the ball unwinds. It opens up more questions. So, they are now trying to cherry pick innocuous documents.

Abercrombie admits that “birther” demands for authentication are valid and not a conspiracy theory when he says, in the last lines of the NY Times article:

“My thought is, ‘Rather than get into some kind of argument or play into that mentality, why not just simply try to authenticate this and let the facts speak for themselves?’ ”

Are the SPs and anti-birthers reading this? This is not Lingle, the waffling former HI governor. This is the current HI governor who says he was “there” in HI in 1961, but yet still says “why not just simply try to authenticate this” BC meaning clearly that Obama’s HI BC was _not_ fully authenticated by Linge, Fukino and the 2007 COLB.

BTW, Huffpo’s are going nuts over this and begging Abercrombie not to play into the “birther” (non) conspiracy theories. They are begging Abercrombie and the NYT to ignore the story or go back to the prior COLB talking points (won't work now that it has been proved you can get a long form). There are lots of search hits on this NY Times piece and the LAT piece as other media outlets pick up and disseminate the story. It is going viral.

You are darn right about Obama’s hit squad making calls to take down Abercrombie for making this threat, obviously over Obama’s private objections.

Abercrombie may be a Marxist fool, but he is giving the appearance of believing himself to be safer at the present time helping to expose Obama’s usurpation (while pretending to protect the memory of Obama’s parents) rather than protecting Obama by stonewalling discovery of the records.

There must be total panic at the WH, knowing that Abercrombie has gone over to the cabal that is intent on removing Obama. They want a selective release. They can't open the files without disqualifying him, but they need more to get him on the ballots in 2012. They need to produce documents in 2011, and this is the first step. They are angry that they need to do this. That part is genuine.
