On Monday, Emanuel made his first public comment about the case since last week, when he endured nearly 12 hours of questioning, some of it by nearly two dozen citizen objectors, without losing his legendary temper.
The former White House chief of staff said he is confident he will survive the challenge because of what he called the “compelling points” that he and his attorneys made last week.
Attorney Burt Odelson has argued that Emanuel should be knocked off the ballot because he rented out his Ravenswood home and, therefore, does not fulfill the requirement that candidates for mayor have lived in the city for one year prior to the election.
The three-member election board then will decide Thursday. That will be followed by a court challenge that’s almost certain to end with the Illinois Supreme Court.

1) Rahm basically is in bed with the Clinton camp.
2) Michelle wanted him gone....................NOW! (and he is).
3) Rahm was the strategist that helped the Dems take over the House, that strategy also caused them to lose the House.
4) If Rahm does not get Chicago, look for him to become behind the scenes enemy number one of the Obama's.
My money is on Rahm to prevail on this because Obama cannot afford to have an enemy with his vengeful characteristics.
If he is able to run for mayor it will be fun watching him go against Carol Mosley Braun. Doubtful Rahm will get any of the black vote. But then who other than Chicago residents really cares?

Rahm is in bed with the Rahm camp. He's an opportunistic parasite and will hitch his wagon to whomever serves his purposes at the time. IMHO, he's taking a step back from Washington to let Hillary and the Bamster slug it out, and he'll fall in line behind whoever wins.
I want to know where he stole the NYT vending machine and who owned it.
It is a fact he did not live in Chicago one year prior to now.
It would be obviously criminal to allow him to run.
It is sort of funny that Emanuel argued that he is a resident on account of paying real estate taxes because:
1. All property owners, residents and non-residents alike, are obliged to pay such taxes;
2. Rahm Emanuel and his wife, Amy Rule, have been criticized for obtaining possible tax breaks by claiming that a charity was headquartered in the house that they rented out;
3. Emanuel caught some flack by not paying all of his tax installments on time within the last year. He paid up, including penalties and late fees, after the story was publicized.
Response: Being it is Chicago there is no doubt that he wiil survive the challenge.
The people in Chicago don’t have to vote. They have already rigged the elections. and the people continue to let them.
Rahm is an interesting case - his father was part of a terrorist organization and Rahm served in the Israeli Army. His two brothers are interesting too - one is a top agent in Hollywood and his other brother is a Doctor who helped Obama with “healthcare”. The ultimate trifecta - politics, hollywood and “medicine”. These boys had an interesting upbringing.
Rahm really is a little bast**d, and that’s ok, I just want to know that that he’s our little b””stard.
