Why are you surprised? He voted Dem in Mass and will continue on that path. He sure did get a lotta money and assistance from people not looking deeply into his voting record prior to his anointment.

Scott Brown is probably as good as we can expect in Massachusetts (he voted against DREAM Act closure) but if he thinks he is ever getting any support from conservatives again ....

Are we really surprised? What’s his ACU rating?

Kirk’s going to be doing the same thing. His ACU is like 50%. So FReepers shouldn’t freak out that he’s with us only half the time.

We need to win in conservative states if we want real, true conservative Senators. Even then we can’t get everything we want look at Coburn and DeMint.

We need to take the long view, hold Congress for a generation or better. America didn’t get messed up over night.

Brown told reporters following a closed-session intelligence briefing that he had given the issue “due diligence” and hoped see the treaty ratified.

I wonder if the "intelligence briefing" was enhanced the same way the report premising the drilling moratorium and the DADT study were?

I would suggest that MORE “due diligence” should be the order of the day. These leftists are liars plain and simple. It should be obvious by now in all but exceptional cases that if the leftists want it that IT is bad for America.

Who “negotiated” this treaty for the U.S. against the soviets?
Why was it thought to be necessary?
What is “in it for us”?
Anybody?
Bueller?

I don't think it was ever realistic to expect someone from Massachusetts to vote as a conservative, or be a conservative.

On the other hand, if Brown thinks the Democrats are going to cut him a break in 2012 because he votes against the TEA party, he's crazy. They are going to go after him like he was George Wallace.

Oh, that's right, I forgot. They didn't go after George Wallace, did they, because George Wallace was a Democrat. What was I thinking. That was then, this is now.

This SOB must be defeated even if it means Democrats take back the seat. RINOs need to be taught a much harder lesson in 2012 than they were taught in 2010.

I’ll say here and now I was WRONG about Brown. I expected him to at least be strong on the defense front, but so far, he hasn’t fought for any legs of Conservatism.
