Scott Brown ‘Yea’ on New START
National Review Online - The Corner ^ | 12/19/2010 | Andrew Stiles

Posted on 12/20/2010 2:53:39 PM PST by Fury

After basically evading reporters all day, the Massachusetts Republican recently announced that he will support the arms reduction treaty. Brown told reporters following a closed-session intelligence briefing that he had given the issue “due diligence” and hoped see the treaty ratified. “I believe it’s something that’s important for our country, and I believe it’s a good move forward to deal with our national security issues,” he said.

A cloture vote is expected on Tuesday.

Republicans elected him. He should be voting with our team. A lot of republicans outside of MA came out and supported him and sent him their hard earned money. He’s a backstabbing loser.

Not surprised at all. He has been with the socialist all along.
I was skeptical when the left let him win too easy.

We need to vet these incoming Rs more. Commies in sheep clothing
have no place in the Republican Party.

He’s gone come next election.

Is this the same twit that offered his girls to courting during his election night speech? I hope they see how far daddy has fallen now.

IOW, it's a big secret why I'm voting yes but if you knew the secret, you would vote yes too. I'd tell you about the secret but only important people like me should know it.

Did anyone bother to ask him, if it is so important for the country, why does it need to be rushed through. I guess some kennedy rubbed off on him.

I agree that if we want to change the person holding this seat, the Primary of 2012 is the time to do it.

With that said, I don’t think anyone much further right of Brown has much of a chance in the General Election of 2012 in Massachusetts.

If Scott Brown wins the 2012 Primary, I would hope that he would be supported (even if it is only a plugged nose vote) in the General Election, otherwise, how do we ever expect to have our much more conservative Senators in committee chair positions. Sure, I would like all the GOP office holders to be 100% conservative, but again, if we want to really drive the agenda in the Senate we need the majority and if “we” “lose” in the Primaries, the prudent thing to do is get as many GOPers in office to gain a majority. Not a hard concept.

He’s a pantload, all right. Hopefully a real Republican runs for 2012.

It’s not a real contest when you run a true sh1tburger against a sh1tburger-lite. Run a real republican up against a real democrat and if we lose, we lose.

He was the darling for health care, did anyone expect more from a Mass a republican? He didn’t have one ounce of impact. Imagine if he was a democrat. We needed him at that time, now he’s just another bobsie twin from Maine.

Too bad, he could have been something. Now, he’s just another rino we have to get rid of. At least he’s not a Kennedy. We’ll just have to keep working harder.

One thing is for certain, I won’t submit to gov control. They can throw me in prison.

It’s really a shame our government, and Americans, are against us. It’s so sad.

You’re right he’s filling them with something, actually the same thing Teddy boy did on a particularly inebriated evening of incontinence.

“Scott Brown is probably as good as we can expect in Massachusetts (he voted against DREAM Act closure) but if he thinks he is ever getting any support from conservatives again ...”

Indeed. He’s the best that can be had from MA. But you’re right: he won’t receive the massive national outpouring of support from conservatives around the nation. I supported him then, but won’t support him again. I doubt if he’ll be re-elected. He’s probably managed to pretty much piss-off everyone. I think I’ll start responding to his emails and chide him about his RINOism, how I’m disappointed I supported him, etc.

I was very happy to see him whoop the tar out of the Commie, Martha Coakley

I was too. I was also happy to see liberals here in Mass. and around the country go berserk when "Teddy's Seat" went to a Republican (at least that's how he billed himself).

Any goodwill those events bought Scott Brown has long been spent. He is trying to court independents (half of the registered voters here are unenrolled), and by trying to straddle the middle of the road he is going to share the same fate of most critters who do that: he will be roadkill, election-wise.

Yeah...here is a bastard that vowed to drive his ‘pick up’ truck to D.C.

It’s all an illusion...and that’s what they bank on;that we will fall for their illusions...
