Former Sarah Palin colleague says she has multiple flaws
Daily Telegraph ^ | December 19, 2010 | Alex Spillius

Posted on 12/20/2010 6:03:00 AM PST by Cincinatus' Wife

"The more people try to take her out, she only becomes emboldened, strengthened, it makes her such a martyr," said Mrs Wallace, who has recently written a thriller called Eighteen Acres, drawn in part from her experiences on the bid for the White House of John McCain and Mrs Palin, his running mate.

"She has very obvious deficiencies that will reveal themselves as the nominating contest gets closer," she told The Daily Telegraph, adding: "Let her shoot her moose or whatever the heck she does on her [television] show, it will all work out."

...... "What's troubling is she has missed an opportunity to go beyond the platitudes and deepen her knowledge," said Mrs Wallace, who was formerly communications director in the George W Bush administration. "It's incredibly cynical to think you can win an election without having a thoughtful intellectual discussion with the country, thinking you can just scare people into voting for you."

Mrs Wallace's remarks follow similar reservations voiced by senior Republicans and figureheads of the Right including Barbara Bush, former First Lady, and Karl Rove, the leading strategist in the George W Bush administration.

Her new book is supposedly about a female presidential candidate whose husband is fooling around with a journalist.

I’m starting to think that Wallace was trying to “tempt” the First Dude and she was told to POUND SAND.

just my two cents...

And if, so what?

So why are you "troubled", Nicolle? What is your problem?

Novel by Nicolle Wallace "Eighteen Acres"

Booklist: "Melanie Kingston, White House chief of staff to the nation’s forty-fifth president, Charlotte Kramer, has spent 15 years in the 18 acres that constitute the White House complex. As her boss and dear friend President Kramer considers running for a second term, the two are confronted with political and personal turmoil that threatens their collective and individual careers. Melanie has no social life to speak of as she navigates the politics within and outside the White House. Charlotte’s marriage is falling apart, her husband is having an affair, and her closest adviser and friend makes a judgment that threatens national security and tests the bonds of friendship. Dale Smith, a reporter in love with the president’s husband, fights her conscience and professional ethics as she struggles to climb to the top of television news reporting. Wallace draws on 13 years experience as a political commentator and news reporter, many of those years spent working in the White House, to deliver a portrait of three women caught in the whirlwind of Washington politics." --Vanessa Bush "

And this tidbit:

"...I did find the heavy focus on expensive designer name products a bit off putting coming from people in such high power positions. Am I nitpicking? Maybe. But such name dropping is both distracting and unnecessary in a book of this genre. .."

Another back-bencher trying to make a name for herself.

The Feminazis must be proud that in “smashing the glass ceiling” they have enabled as many women to be scumbags as there used to be only men.

There is nothing like mentioning Sarah Palin to sell your book.

It’s probably on a check off “to do” list sent to her by the publisher.

You're wondering in the right direction. Mark Wallace, her husband is a big supporter/fund raiser for Palins likely main rival - Mitt Romney. I know it's purely coincidental.

The problem is that no one can say a critical thing about Palin on one of these threads without getting slimed.

I read the article twice and couldn’t find any substantive support for Wallace’s claims of Palin having “multiple flaws” that make her an unfit candidate for president. Determination sparked by opposition is generally considered to be a good thing. Wallace did not support her claim of Palin’s supposed refusal to discuss issues; no instances or facts were given. Chalk another one up to green-eyed jealousy.
