A GOP freshman needled incoming House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) on Thursday, questioning whether Cantor's 2011 schedule allows for too much time off for lawmakers.

In an unusual power play move by a freshman, Rep.-elect Allen West (R-Fla.) wrote to Cantor to inquire why House lawmakers aren't planning to spend more time in Washington.

why House lawmakers aren't planning to spend more time in Washington.

My young friend, It is TIME to DownSize DC! Close entire Departments beginning with the U.S. Department of EducationReEducation.

It is TIME to force Congress and Senate to telecommute most of the year from their home district under the thumb of the electorate and away from the lobbyist. Can you imagine the cost savings, and it would completely change the center-of-gravity of the Federal Government. No legislation would be necessary to accomplish this, the Constitution states that the Congress shall meet at least 1 time per year and specifies the date (has been changed), but says nothing about duration of session.

I concur unless he’s looking to repeal all the BS they’ve been passing for so many years.

How about if they set a heavy work schedule and have all their work done by March? I think that would be a good thing.

Cantor is going to be a problem.

Yes, as soon as he was assured of his new position, he announced that they would not be attempting to repeal Obamacare. Instead, they would try to delete some of the bad parts, but keep the good parts.

So, what exactly are the good parts?

Allen West is a true patriot and presidential material

TBT11- I took the ‘liberty’ (above) of capitalizing Col West’s name, we ought to reserve the small letters for those that deserve them.

Well the 2 ‘Black’ Presidents we have had so far really didn’t work out.

Of course, the 1st one was White and from Arkansas, the 2nd half White and from God knows where, so maybe the 3rd time would be charm, with the extra kick of being a Vet also.

It’s true that Congress needs to work less. BUT — before they can work LESS, they ought to be about REPEALING ALL THE DAMAGE Obama and the Democrats have DONE. You don’t do that part-time.

Alan West is a military man. He understands how to fight a war. You don’t fight a war on a schedule. It isn’t a part time job. First, you defeat the ENEMY.

Eric Cantor and many of the Washington Establishment Republicans seem to think they’ve already got this thing sewn up. Business as usual. We won the election. Our turn. Now we’ll be Gentlemen and Ladies and follow decorum.

The Tea Parties ought to demonstrate the days of decorum are past. The Republicans BETTER get serious about defeating our political enemies on the battlefield of ideas and in the arena of POLICY. If they don’t our ENEMIES will most certainly remove that as a viable option. Then, the options left to “We The People” will be FAR less pleasant.
