One of my favorite bits of practical advice is "when you find yourself in a deep hole, stop digging."
The hole that Barack Obama finds himself in, while largely due to his policy positions, is also a function of his seeming out of his league, a man-child who was elected to an office he was unprepared to hold, perhaps the only candidate for president who made Sarah Palin look like an experienced and worldly statesman in comparison (and who continues to perform that remarkable feat today).
Obama is not offering much new in the way of policy -- fortunately for the nation, still suffering from a tremendous bout of indigestion over Obamacare, cap-and-trade (being implemented by the EPA regardless of lack of congressional action), Don't Ask, Don't Tell, and his failed effort to shutter Guantanamo Bay (because Muslim radicals in Yemen will hate us so much less if their Mohammedan brothers are kept in frigid downstate Illinois instead of their current Caribbean resort).
Thus, his biggest ongoing issue is the reinforcement of the perception among Americans and foreigners alike that America has its most unpresidential president since at least Jimmy Carter, and perhaps in its history.

PBO’s had numerous Freudian slips with that phrase where he says ‘dig harder’ instead of ‘stop digging’. He’s definitely digging harder and trying to make the hole so huge it will never get filled in. ‘Cloward-Piven’
Good point. I know the state universities churn out social workers like McDonalds sells hamburgers. The problem with cloward-piven is that it’s unsustainable in any economic construct. IMHO cloward - piven is being practiced in every university, state and local government agency / department, and public school system right now. And look what that brings us?

On the contrary, he has put in many long-term structures for turning the USA into a socialist state. And a totalitarian state. And he does not care what people think of him because of that.
We are still reaping the benefits of FDR’s reforms, from SS to welfare to hunting and gun laws to nine people on the Supreme Court.
Obama’s “reforms” likewise will be felt for generations.
So far, Barrack Obama has accomplished the majority of his goals in spectacular fashion by bulldozing right over the Republicans with the complicity of RINOS. Commentaries such as this about what a failure Obama is do not recognize what Obama’s mission is:

Of course, this is hard for most people to comprehend. Why would anyone in his right mind seek to destroy the greatest country in the history of the world? The answer is simple: To Obama, the United States is the WORST country in the history of the world—and he is determined to “transform” it into a SOCIALIST UTOPIA. Obama is close to ensuring his VISION will be our reality. Unless the new Congress fails to place restraints on executive agencies creating law and fails to rollback his socialist legislation, OBAMA WILL BE THE MOST SUCCESSFUL PRESIDENT IN OUR HISTORY.
He will have destroyed the United States, which is his ultimate goal. Until conservative commentators understand this basic reality, their writing is all sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Thanks. To you and me, this is obvious. But I am so frustrated by the obtuseness of the conservative punditry that they do not fully appreciate the radical nature of Obama’s quest. He is truly our first ANTI-AMERICAN PRESIDENT. For some, that fact is impossible to comprehend. But if it is not generally understood, by the people and by their elected representatives, we are doomed.
When I read clueless pieces by supposed conservative pundits who SHOULD UNDERSTAND, it makes me fear for the survival of our Republic. If these people don’t understand, then who?
