Students at Bronx high school pushed her to the ground
A Bronx teacher suffered a miscarriage after breaking up a fight between two students over a chair, school officials said Thursday.
Lissedia Batista, 27, was elbowed in the stomach, pushed, and fell to the floor as she tried to get in the middle of a fight between two students.
Batista was four months pregnant and was taken by ambulance to North Centeral Bronx Hospital, where she miscarried her baby.
The two students involved in the fight have been suspended.

At the very least, involuntary manslaughter. The poor woman, her husband and family.

Very sad for this woman who lost her unborn child. For the rest of her life, she will wonder how it happened and if her stepping in actually caused this to occur. I have known several friends who have miscarried and they mourn horribly. Prayers for this woman and her child. Just a thought.*******************************
Agreed. And who knows how this will affect future pregnancies? This is tragic.

It’s from “Kill Bill”, #2, I believe. Still insensitive to offensive on this thread.

Perhaps because it was not murder? Of course you feel this way, you are FR's biggest cheerleader for abortion.
What was it you said about the pro-life movement? Oh yeah, this is it:
Sanctimonious every-life-is-precious BS.

“I always intervene- I broke up 3 fights last year alone,... If you dont stand up for law and order the students wont respect you,..”
I am female and was at a high school. I believe physically most men are better equipped for breaking up a fight.
While on duty I would watch body movements and groups to anticipate impending problems and stave them off. However, both fights which I physically got involved in the brain was off, the emotion was full throttle.
Fully agree with the “law and order” portion of your post. Students who were jerks in other classes did not act up in my class. AND both times I broke up fights, the students acted as if I had walked on water ( for a while).

Still insensitive to offensive on this thread. So quit looking at it and commenting.

I’m not surprised at your reply, since your response to a woman suffering a miscarriage was to make light of it.

Im not surprised at your reply, since your response to a woman suffering a miscarriage was to make light of it. You really can't read too well, can you?
You don't understand that the reference indicated that I thought the little animals should suffer death because of what they took from that woman, so instead you chose to humiliate yourself by attacking me. Well, mission accomplished.
Now go sit in the corner with a coloring book and be quiet.

Unless your name is Jim Robinson, I’m happy to say that’s not your call. You weren’t attacked, but you’ve made a good effort at attacking me. That’s not surprising either, given your earlier posts.

Just does your mother dying have to do with a first grader trying to put his teacher into a hospital with a cracked skull and his scumbag mother laughing and bragging about her “little darling” and what he did?
Are you the little thug’s mother or what? I’m just sure he’s turned his life around and is now a model student.
