The upcoming election has disaster written all over it for Senate Democrats... 23 are up for reelection in 2012 and many sit where the Republican surge is hitting. Plus, most voted for the president's agenda that included healthcare reform and the bailouts of Wall Street and auto industry. ... the National Republican Senatorial Committee has a top 10 list of Senate Democrats to beat.
1. Nebraska's Ben Nelson. The NRSC will remind voters of Nelson's support for Majority Leader Harry Reid...
2. Montana's Jon Tester. While popular at home, Tester comes from a Republican state that the GOP is confident of winning back with the right candidate.
3. Ohio's Sherrod Brown. Ohio elected a Republican senator and governor in November and party officials believe the swing to the GOP will continue in 2012.
4. Missouri's Claire McCaskill. Seats in Missouri are always tough to defend because the state's electorate is split. But like many other states, Missouri seems to be trending Republican.
5. Florida's Bill Nelson. Look for outgoing Sen. George LeMieux ... to run against Nelson in a state where Tea Party is strong.
6. West Virginia's Joe Manchin. Another state trending Republican ...
7. Pennsylvania's Bob Casey. GOP sees a good chance to pick up another Senate seat in Pennsylvania where fiscal conservative Toomey won in November.
8. Wisconsin's Herb Kohl. If Kohl runs for reelection, Republicans feel they have a good chance to portray him as the same kind of liberal as ousted Russ Feingold. ...
9. Virginia's Jim Webb. Another purple state that has been painted red in recent elections, Webb could find himself running against former Sen. George Allen.
10. North Dakota's Kent Conrad. Conrad worked hard on the Obama healthcare plan, and that will be a problem for many Democrats, GOP believes. ...

Get it through your thick skulls now, GOP. NO LeMieux.
Time is now to get started on this.
He really wants to run.
Don’t we have a RINO or two to primary out as well..?
Some Republicans need to join the Dems in retirement:
Republican incumbents up in 2012:
Jon Kyl of Arizona
Richard Lugar of Indiana
Olympia Snowe of Maine
Scott Brown of Massachusetts
Roger Wicker of Mississippi
John Ensign of Nevada
Bob Corker of Tennessee
Kay Bailey Hutchison of Texas
Orrin Hatch of Utah
John Barrasso of Wyoming
So did Crist.
She must not be up for reelection, eh?
Dick (soon to be 80) Lugar
a great guy, did good things as Mayor of Indy, but needs to hang it up
Kohl won’t be running again, most likely. Feingold will run for his seat in 2012 against someone. We really need to start looking for someone to target that seat immediately.
NO more RINOS |
Somebody, please target Bingaman of New Mexico. Please, I will campaign for whoever runs against him unless it is a serial murderer.
How about we stop abusing the word "reform," newsies as in "immigration reform" or "healthcare reform"?
A more accurate description might be "totalitarian healthcare destruction." Or perhaps "totalitarian deathcare."
Forget Brown. He is a dem but the R next to his name helps for a majority.
Debbie Stabenow should be on that list, I think a strong candidate can beat her.
Why just 10? Why not ALL of them? They are all the same, Socialists!
There are more than a few RINOs that need to be shown the door.
Woohoo, Kay Bailey Hutchinson (Rino TX) will see this house’s votes go to whomever her opponent might be. I told her office she’d never get any of our votes a few years ago and she’s done nothing since to redeem herself. Funny, she sold her house in DC and swore she would leave politics if she lost the governorship but, like all of them, she lied.
Throw ALL the bums out.
