North Korea has warned that its army and people are ready for escalated conflicts and on all-out war that would not be confined to the peninsula, according to its official news agency KCNA.
A spokesman for the National Peace Committee of Korea said in a statement that the recent moves of the US indicated that it fully backs South Korea's moves for a war of aggression against North Korea after "throwing away the disguise of a hypocrite," The China Daily reports.
It was clear that if the South Korean army mobilized all flying corps, warships and missiles for a war against North Korea and the US joined them with the latest weapons, it would develop into an all-out war, not a local war, he added.
"Should an all-out war break out again on this land, it will not be confined to the boundaries of the peninsula," the paper quoted the spokesman, as saying.

Bullies have always complained of unprovoked aggression when their victims strike back at any time ;the priciple is the same ,be it schoolyard or world stage.
It is just better for all if the bullies were stopped at the schoolyard stage;a good ass-whupping often suffices.

Vasquez: All right, we got seven canisters of CN-20. I say we roll them in there and nerve gas the whole fricking nest.
Hicks: That's worth a try, but we don't know if it's gonna affect them.
Hudson: Let's just bug out and call it even, man! What are we even talking about this for?
Ripley: I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
Hudson: Frickin' A!
Burke: Hold on a second. This installation has a substantial dollar value attached to it.
Ripley: They can bill me.
Burke: Okay. This is an emotional moment for all of us. I know that. But let's not make snap judgments, please. This is clearly an important species we're dealing with, and I don't think you or I or anybody has the right to arbitrarily exterminate them.
Ripley: Wrong!
Vasquez: Yeah, watch us.
Hudson: Maybe you haven't been keeping up on current events; but we just got our butts kicked, pal!
Burke: Look, I'm not blind to what's going on; but I cannot authorize that kind of action. I'm sorry.
Ripley: Well, I believe Corporal Hicks has authority here.
Burke: Corporal Hicks has...?
Ripley: This operation is under military jurisdiction, and Hicks is next in chain of command. Am I right, Corporal?
Hicks: Yeah... yeah, that's right.
Burke: Yeah... look, Ripley, this is a multi-million dollar installation. He can't make that kind of decision. He's just a grunt! Uh, no offense.
Hicks: None taken. Ferro, do you copy?
Ferro: Standing by.
Hicks: Prep for dust-off. We're going to need immediate evac.
Ferro: Roger. We're on our way.
Hicks: All right. We take off. Nuke the site from orbit. (Glances at Ripley in agreement) It's the only way to be sure.

Iraq had Baghdad Bob.
Does North Korea of a Pyongyang Pak???
To: Fennie
One thing that has to be remembered, the North Korean Military is not like the Iraq military. We won’t be able to roll over them in a few days, like we did in our previous skirmishes with Iraq. The N. Korea Army is combat ready and extremely tough. Any ground war with N. Korea will result in many US and ROK casualties.

If it is one of the SSGNs it might. If it is one that still has it's tridents aboard then it could hit North Korea while tied to the dock in Pearl Harbor. No reason to be in shalow water or anyplace where the Chinese might stumble on her.

The N. Korea Army is combat ready and extremely tough. Any ground war with N. Korea will result in many US and ROK casualties. I agree there will be many casualties, but I suspect that most of the North Korean Army is paint over rust, out of gas and operated by malnourished troops. IMHO they would collapse very, very quickly.

Ya, but not quite so well equipped. This is from a North Korean propaganda poster. I'm thinking we are supposed to be frightened, but it just doesn't do it for me.
