A car explosion killed one person and injured two others Saturday in central Stockholm, Swedish police said.
Multiple blasts went off on the car in a major shopping district in the city, full of holiday shoppers, according to police spokeswoman Petra Sjolander.
"It is likely that this was some kind of gas tubes that have caused the car to explode multiple times," she said.
The victim was found a few hundred meters from the scene, she said, adding that the connection between the man and the explosion is not immediately known.
CNN apparently doesn't think there were completely separate explosions, even though the dead man was hundreds of meters away from the car.
Odd. It mentioned that the man was bleeding from his midsection and that his clothing was scattered all around him. I wonder if it was a suicide vest that failed to detonate properly.
However, I suppose it could be anything from Eastern European mafia - to Muslim terrorists.
