NYT: White House advisors totally surprised by Obama-Clinton press conference

Oh, I’ll bet they were. Say what you will about Axe, Gibbsy, and the rest of the crew, but I’d like to think they have the basic political common sense to avoid photo ops where the president has to skip out after a minute or two to go eat gingerbread cookies.

I’d like to think The One had the same basic political common sense, but … we learn something new every day, don’t we?

The leader of the free world and the ex-leader wandered a deserted hallway, past the offices of the senior advisers, only to discover the door to the press corps briefing room locked.

Obama’s the most irresponsible, incompetent president in history.

Well, if there's one thing I've learned to expect from Obama & Co., it the unexpected and outrageous. They're good for at least a half dozen or so per week.

They've got America held captive in the back seat of their car, going 100 mph, and don't have a freakin clue how to drive it.

It may turn out to be the most incredible faux pas ever committed by a sitting President. I have been following politics for 50 years now, since I was 10 years old when I worked at an “Elect Nixon President” headquarters in 1960 (stamping envelopes) and have never seen anything like this. We shall see what happens.

Has this ever been done before?

Just imagine the wailing if Bush or any Republican president had done this.

He was late for a party???? WTF???

I thought Obama was smarter than this.

How in the world did you ever come to that thought?

Going to the party is part of the job
Answering reporters is not part of the job

Obama brought in Clinton to tell America how bad it will be if we revert back to the taxes rates we had when he (D) was in office.

“Look America. I sucked. If this doesn’t pass we’ll do what I did all over again.”

BRILLIANT!!!!

I would cut him some slack if he’s going to something more important, but the excuse he gave was a joke

” It may turn out to be the most incredible faux pas ever committed by a sitting President. “

The optic of Barry slinking away is jaw dropping.
This almost seems like an episode of “ 24 “ where they bring back a former president because the current one is decompensating.

Barry finally shows his cards and acknowledges that he is in too far over his head. I’ve never seen such incompetence in my lifetime. Barry is now officially the Vice President.

When you put an amateur prevaricator next to an old pro like Bill Clinton there is no contest.

Clinton is a crafty old serpent. I’m reminded of the story where the man picks up the rattlesnake that swears not to bite him.

Or The Scorpion and The Frog

It may turn out to be the most incredible faux pas ever committed by a sitting President. I have been following politics for 50 years now...and have never seen anything like this.

Yet, it's not the first unbelievable thing this president has done in the public eye. There have been too many utterly tone-deaf, bone-headed mistakes committed by Obama to list.

What worries me (and most clear-headed Americans) is how all this looks to our enemies, who we know are having a royal, rolling-on-the-floor laugh at our expense. Since November 2nd, it seems that everything he's done has been hugely embarrassing to our country.

Personally, I think he's entered a stage of panic, where he can't stop fumbling and erring in everything he does. It's just one political public relations disaster after another with this guy.
