Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VM) is using a true speaking filibuster to prevent vote that stops a tax raise.
Not the case here, because I have posted the fully spelled words (to make a point). They do get pulled, but they do post.
I guess folks think they are being emphatic / eloquent with their f'n this and f#*kin' that; but they really do nothing but reveal a lack of vocabulary.
One of the things I used to love about this board was that we were encouraged to post well; to string some coherent thoughts together and express them clearly. Newbies really had to measure up to a pretty high standard before the old timers would even respond to their posts.
I guess that's what we do when we get old - reminiscence about how much better things used to be.
Boy-nee. If I don’t raise your taxes you can consider that a tax cut. And I’ll consider it a cut in my income.

I called McConnell's office several times in the last few years and they always told me that he wasn't going to fight (insert socialist bill here) because he couldn't win in the end. I suggested something like this, i.e. simply gumming up the Senate, wasted my breath.
McConnell is usually unwilling to fight for anything unless he thinks it is a slam dunk. Doesn't understand that one fights for what is right regardless of the odds for winning. It's called principles.
