They evade direct answers, they try to redirect the discussion, they make hyperbole comments and exaggerate the situation.
Or, in some cases, they come right out and make outrageous racist comments.

The children that are American citizens are the innocent pawns.
Their education is being sidestepped in favor of the children of illegal insurgent criminal invading colonists.

We can't take in every third world child to educate here at the expense of children who are solid American citizens with parents that are not criminals.
Going with your sentiments, perhaps we should annex Mexico as the 58th state and exploit their natural resources to bring their country up to the standards of the US instead of lowering our standards because the illegal parents won't take responsibility for their own country's shortcomings and do something about it.
If all the immigration rules and laws were enforced here the criminal invaders would have no choice but to go back to their country.

Any American who wants to and can afford it can adopt children from other countries. That’s how they or you can show your compassion for children from other countries.
The kind of “compassion” you’re talking about is - and this is simple - (1) USING OTHER PEOPLES’ MONEY!!!! Which is pure leftist crap. (2) Enabling criminal acts. Rewarding crime. And, as any parent or animal owner knows, when you reward bad behavior, guess what! You get MORE of it!
If you haven’t seen the crime statistics for illegals, you owe it to yourself and everyone you’ve argued with to study up.
