At root, the Left disdains individual freedom.

They disdain individual freedom, for everyone BUT themselves.
The mind numbed masses that follow them don't see it.
Heck, the old forum pet Murrymom exploded in anger every time you asked her about her taxes.
Then one fine day she declared that paying higher taxes was worth it to ‘stick it to the man’..

So there are two things at work there with the left.
Camp followers blindly committing suicide by tax, and their much worshiped leaders with their mental pathology.
