These laws add more work for landlords as well as penalties. And people wonder why rents are so high. Landlords are not wealthy, they have so many stupid fines to pay, spend time in courts to fight them etc. Problem is, there are more tenants than landlords. Tenants vote stupid laws in not thinking of the consequences.
There was a time when only landowners could vote and for good reason.
Now they’re subject to penalty because of their tenants votes.
