Feinstein calls for spy charges against WikiLeaks founder

Count Sen. Dianne Feinstein among those who believe that the leak of tens of thousands of U.S. diplomatic cables is not only embarrassing and damaging to foreign policy, but illegal.

Feinstein, chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, today urged Attorney General Eric Holder to prosecute WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange for espionage, along with "any and all of his possible accomplices."

"The unauthorized release of this information, including the recent release of approximately 250,000 State Department documents, is a serious breach of national security and could be used to severely harm the United States and its worldwide interests," the California Democrat wrote to Holder in the letter, which was also signed by the intelligence panel's Republican vice chairman, Sen. Kit Bond of Missouri.

Private First Class Bradley E. Manning, an Army intelligence analyst suspected of giving WikiLeaks the earlier documents and possibly the diplomatic ones as well, has already been charged in military court with eight violations of federal criminal law, including violating the Espionage Act by transmitting classified information to an unauthorized third party.
Line them both up before a firing squad!

If Eric Holder and his boss knew what the hell they were doing they wouldn’t have to be asked by anyone.

Everything’s politics with these guys.... Absolutely everything. That’s why they will go down in history as miserable failures.

Does Feinstein bring up Assange's attorney who has connections with George Soros? I thought not (conveniently)!

The Obama Administration benefits from WikiLeaks

Snips: I think that there is even more to the story about the WikiLeaks releases than Jenkins does. I believe that the leaks serve the Obama administration‘s purposes to get certain so-called confidential materials out in the public arena, knowing that the media outlets most likely to publish the materials would spin them in a way that would help buff Obama’s image of himself as a strong leader even if it meant embarrassing foreign leaders and diplomats in the process.

I’m not prepared to say at this point whether the Obama administration itself purposely leaked any of the materials to WikiLeaks. But in complaining about the damage that WikiLeaks may be doing to America’s interests abroad, it seems like the Obama administration “doth protest too much” since its own partisan interests are being so well served by the leaks.

military court with eight violations of federal criminal law

That makes no sense. He should be up on UCMJ violations. Something is fishy.

I like the idea of dinner with the Russians for them or maybe just a breakfast alone served by a Russian.

The fagot is an Army Private. Military crimes/violations are not federal offenses. Military personnel fall under the Uniform Code of Military Justice UCMJ and get court martialed not prosecuted in a federal court.

Wikileaks in this case is in the position of the new york times in the pentagon papers case. .the supreme court ruled against the nixon admin trying to prevent publication of the pentagon papers. If the usa can now arrest foreign publishers for printing our secrets what is to stop other nations from arresting our publishers if they reveal their secrets? Should the USA honor a interpol warrant for the arrest of JimRob because of his harsh but factual coverage of Chinagate?

“Feinstein gets it right every now and then....it is rare but on occasions she does.”

Like most politicians Diane Feinstein is posturizing. She is up for reelection in 2012, and wants to appear as a strong US patriot/American......It’s all for show to appease the electorate.....

Funny how she quietly resigned her VA Hospital Oversight Committee chairmanship when it was revealed how deplorable conditions were at Walter Reed in DC yet there was never a word about it in the media before page 20.......

Funny how she is often photoed holding a AK-47 look alike (imported by her husband from China) decrying evil guns, and calling for ever more stringent “gun control” and Assualt Weapons Bans” all the while packing the heat that is allowed her because of her, almost impossible to get in her bay area hometown, CCW permit.....

Feinstein is the most dangerous of all politicians....a very liberal leaning lady, that is self styled, and media portrayed as a middle of the road moderate Democrat......ugh!

Don’t be fooled! Vote her out in 2012!

Dump Diane 2012!

Why is there such an uproar in the media about this story compared to the first document dump that these jerks did? I think they are just making noise to distract everyone from the fast ones that the Lame Duck Congress in involved in.

Feinstein, chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, today urged Attorney General Eric Holder to prosecute WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange for espionage, along with "any and all of his possible accomplices."
And a month or so from now, after "study", meaning, after the noise has died down, Holder will decline the request, and Feinstein will let the matter drop. Both of them are members of the Party of Treason and Party of the Single Party State. Thanks SmithL.
