Some of the comments here seem a little unfair to those of us who are married to women who like to shoot. My wife loves our AK, our shotguns, the BM-59 308, the handguns, even the 7.62x54 Mosin Nagants, but she loves her early WWII 30 Carbine the most. She is very small and that 30 Carbine is very comfortable for her and super cheap to shoot since she reuses her brass and casts her own bullets. Believe me, there really is nothing cuter than a hundred pound woman cleaning brass and reloading ammunition with a turret press.
That is no put down on women who are little more robust and prefer the AK. However there is no excuse for rough housing with an AK at 3:00 a.m. in the morning and accidentally shooting the baby. It is that kind of mischief which causes the general public to become apprehensive even about those of us who are responsible gun owners.
