Pat Toomey won by a razor thin margin in a year in which he should have dominated. If you think that is “doing just fine”, then we disagree. As stated in the article, 2010 was an anomoly. If we can fix Philadelphia (by winning just 30% of the vote)Democrats will lose the state every time, and by extension, lose the presidential election. They must have PA to win. It is an achievable goal wihout Meehan. You seem to disagree. At least we are clear where we disagree.

Actually, increasing Republican registration throughout the counties across PA, would have the same effect. But Mr. Kelly is personally too vested in the wasteland and lost cause that is Philadelphia, and thus must keep grassroot attention there.

Stopping the situation from growing worse, i.e more democrats and less Republicans in the city, is possibly attainable. Attempts at greater gains, are an utter waste of resources.

However, other disagreements with Mr. Kelly, are at least equally as serious, and lie elsewhere.
