I'll bet you that this kid "followed" the DC snipers (Mohammed and Malvo) over the years since Portland was one of their bases for a long time.

I'm sure the Portland papers carried any news of the snipers and Malvo was even interviewed not long ago.

Last week, I pulled into a NJ Turnpike service area. On the base of one of the parking lot lights was printed with a paint pen the word “MALVO”. The last letter had a cross thru the middle, imitating a telescopic lens.
