US Warns Allies on Wikileaks' Potential Diplomatic Leak
BBC ^ | November 26, 2010 | Staff

Wikileaks has said the US authorities are afraid of being held to account.

Analysts say the US and its allies have the potential to be embarrassed by the publication of candid assessments of foreign governments by its officials.

Wikileaks has not confirmed exactly when the documents will be made public.

The website, founded by Julian Assange, said earlier this week that the release would be nearly seven times larger than the nearly 400,000 Pentagon documents related to the Iraq war it published in October.

'Speculation'

State department spokesman PJ Crowley warned on Wednesday that the release could weaken trust in the US as a diplomatic partner.

"When this confidence is betrayed and ends up on the front pages of newspapers or lead stories on television or radio, it has an impact," he said.

A spokesman for UK Prime Minister David Cameron said on Friday: "Obviously, the government has been briefed by US officials, by the US ambassador, as to the likely content of these leaks.

"I don't want to speculate about precisely what is going to be leaked before it is leaked."

The US is frantically contacting all countries whose relationship with will suffer serious consequences as a result of this latest act of treason, subterfuge against the USA by Wikileaks. Russia, Canada, Israel, England, Turkey, Denmark are some of the many countries having already received notice in advance of the leaks imminent release.

So what sort of convoluted logic or purpose is there for Assange to justify releasing these highly confidential documents other than to damage the respect, prestige, influence of the US?

Yes, it all trails back to our treasonous, godforsaken White House occupier but nevertheless it is ultimately the power and prestige of the USA that is being sullied, tarnished, diminished.

God damn Assange. May he very soon meet a slow, miserable end.

Gee, Hillary the world’s smartest woman must not be running a very tight ship with State Department security. Maybe the biggest act of treason against the US govt in modern times, right under her nose and firmly on her watch.

Remind us again - what is it she is doing well?

Can we expect to see her take responsibility and offer to resign so State can again press the “re-set” button?

(crickets)

Do we not have any covert ops that can rid us of this troublesome Ass-ange?

” I don’t think our military wants it either, they are stretched too thin as it is. “

Can anybody offer a reasonable explanation as to why anyone associated with Wikileaks - whether by publishing, or by providing source material - is still consuming precious oxygen??

This rapist scumbag Dessange should have been handled by a Russian umbrella a year ago. It is disgraceful how our weak government permits this information terrorist to damage our interests worldwide. Why isn’t he at Gitmo this very minute? What am I missing here?

When we had real leadership, from Truman through Bush 43, the CIA would take care of criminals like Assange before breakfast.

Your analogy equating Assange as some sort of receptacle escapes me.

If, as you imply, you consider 'Assange' as "receptacle", holder of "flowers", how might you construe "highly classified governmental secrets" being deemed as "flowers", objects of natural beauty, splendor?

Kindly please enlighten me.

Newspaper reports indicate the release will include papers suggesting that Turkey helped al-Qaeda militants in Iraq, and that the US helped Iraq-based Kurdish separatists who have been engaged in a long conflict with Turkey.

A tangled web...

The release is also thought to include cables concerning Israeli-American relations.

Think about the impact of this the next time the US wants one of these governments to aid in clandestine operations.

No - Bush didn’t do it. This is on Obama and Hitlery!

You've hit the proverbial nail on the head in a way that deeply disturbs me to a degree I've never felt before about this illegitimate, bastard occupier of the White House.

As you have so very-well noted, in my mind there is a most palpably sinister stench related to Wikileaks imminent release that is very much in line, reminiscent of O's over all nauseatingly obsequious, pusillanimously apologetic, socialist, communist America-hating persona unmistakable in its scheme to unleash as much destruction, damage to our country as possible.

It frightens to no end the sort of diabolical plans he and his ilk, like Soros will yet unleash until when O is relegated to the dustbin of history, none too soon.

Why would our military give a very young, demoted Army PFC homosexual from Oklahoma, with a questionable background, access U.S. highly classified information?
