To: Do Not Make Fun Of His Ears
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. "Unreasonable" is the key word there. Perhaps you want to rewrite the Constitution, but as it is right now, that word is in there.

And if the Times Square bomber was successful, would you be okay with TSA officers pulling people out of their cars at roadblocks and doing the same thing? And fining them $11,000 for non-compliance?

"Unreasonable" is the key word thereI submit that
probable cause is also key.
A member of the travelling public has not demonstrated probable cause for an unwarranted, unreasonable search of his/her possessions or being.
