To: Non-Sequitur
I read Delay's lawyer mention about a year ago that this trial was all about making Republican politics a criminal enterprise.

It seems (for the time being) that the bleeding heart liberal Travis County thugs got their pound of flesh.

Additionally... I thought that the law the charges were based didn't go into effect until after the PAC collected money. And speaking of the money, I thought it went to administrative costs.

This whole thing stinks to high heaven.

I am sure Delay will get his day to dispute this garbage verdict and have it go in his favor.

Thats my understanding too. DeLay was charged and convicted of breaking a law that did not yet exist.

If that is true, this is REALLY bad. From now on any one of us can be convicted for breaking laws before such laws existed.
