See, that’s the problem. It’s actually twofold.
One, they don’t have anything REAL to worry about in their lives, so they have to find some sort of crisis to solve.
Two, they have the human desire to be significant, and therefore have to seek out some “cause” to get behind in order to feel morally superior to others who “don’t care”.
This kind of crap reminds me of what happened to the Remington Gun Club at the mouth of the Housatonic River in Connecticut about 10-15 years ago...This was a really classy Skeet/Trap shotgun facility that shot at clay pigeons out over the river and adjoining Long Island Sound. The EPA came in and said that Remington (who was owned by DuPont at the time) was poisoning the sea birds with the lead shot and ordered the club to clean up the lead from under the water. Result was Remington said "UP YOURS" to the EPA and shut down the club which sits idle to this day. I lived on the shores of Long island Sound for over 50 years near that club and never saw any great number of dead sea birds washing up.
