This is the second article of its kind, pitting Huckabee against Palin. Something's up.

It's just guys trying to read tea leaves and sound like they're politically savvy. They're trying to create a horse race, probably, and they've only got a straw-man idea of the demographics they say are in play.

I seriously doubt Huckabee can come close to contending with Palin in the demographics in question. And I tend to doubt that they're the key to doing well in the primaries in any case.

Right. Frum couldn’t be more transparent if he tried and the WaPo is 24/7 democrat...lol.

Huckabee has a "soft on killers" problem. He will not get a pass on pardoning that POS.

Interesting that all of a sudden he’s on several Fox shows. He’s revving-up for something.

It looks to me that the MSM is trying to encourage Huckster
to run, thereby splitting the Christian block, allowing for
the Mormon with perfect hair and no principles to get the
the win. IMO

Huckabee is DOA in the 2012 race. Think pardons/paroles problem.

Forget that. The guy's a goober, and in a race where one of the opponents is a certified celebrity, that's enough to rule him out.

“Saw the Huckster on Greta’s show last night. Felt like I needed a shower. He just gives me the creeps...”

Did you catch the clip of the Huckster with Whoopi?

Oh, you mean that goofball son that strangled the stray dog by hanging it? UGH. Sickening.

Palin/Gingrich or Gingrich/Palin?

What about Thune? Rubio? The governor of South Carolina? DeMint?

There are a lot of possibles out there.

You’re right. There is a distinction and her base is a lot wider and she has Tea Party patriots. He can talk pro-life, but she lives it.

The MSM is now promoting Huckabee as a way to attack Sarah Palin. The MSM is always attacking Sarah Palin but that is not new. The MSM is now pushing Huckabee as a way to attack Sarah. The question is how much is Huckabee behind this.

I am no fan of the Huckster, but a recent poll just out had Huckster doing better than Palin in a hypothetical race against Obama.

A March, 1980 Harris poll had undeclared candidate Gerald Ford beating Jimmy Carter while Ronald Reagan was lagging behind Carter by 20+ points. Ford was smart enough to make the right decision not to get into the race late despite the media swooning over him. We'll see how wise Huck is.

Matchup polls this far out mean nothing, especially in today's environment where the lying, media whores are trying to push the narrative like they are. Nobody's even declared yet.

Does Gingrich pay for these “placements”?

Why is he even on the list? No executive experience and a personal life that ideally suits a Democrat.

He has presidential ambitions, but who’s going to contribute millions to fund his campaign when he couldn’t raise money in’08 against a weak field?

Did’nt the media still get Anderson to run in 1980?

Yes. It was worse than that, too. From psych and criminology perspectives, this is really, really bad stuff.

Most people will focus on his amnesty and pardon & parole policies, but the son’s disturbed behavior is worse in some ways.

I’m with you, Clyde5445. I will not vote for Romney under any circumstances, and I don’t think I could vote for Huckabee either. I’d really have to *think* about it.

Exactly. When “None of the Above” is the winner it’s time to get a new set of candidates.

What’s with all the retreads?

The ideal GOP candidates need solid (not perfect) conservative credentials, executive experience in office (governor of a large and dynamic state preferred) and business experience if possible.

The truth of the matter is you aren’t electing a person, but their team. Who’ll be on that team and what has the person done with that team?
