What bugs me more than anything about this whole system is the government saying how the scanner/pat-down is absolutely necessary to avoid terrorism. Yet more than half the people going through security are subjected to neither of these. If it is so important, then put everyone through it. No doubt, all of these people who have been polled and say they approve, are in the group that was just waived through. My wife has been scanned both times we have gone to the airport since this started (I have not been). She is a pleasant-looking thin 68 year old grandmother who does not wear baggy clothes. I, on the other hand, look more likely to be suspect than she does. But she is scanned and I am not.

Yes you notice there are no polls taken of the people who were subjected to the sexual assaults...

Easy to ask people sitting at home in their armchairs...

(many who probably have never flown or dont plan to...)

I have yet to see someone go on Fox & Friends to tell us “That was fun”
