Not necessarily. Some undoubtedly were suicides, and some accidents. I virtually guarantee this.

I believe a couple of police have been killed by law-abiding citizens during no-knock raids. Those are the ones that really piss off the statists.

There ought to be a law against these handguns that go around all by themselves killing innocent people and policemen.
Barring that logical impossibility, one can only wish that numbskull journalists who write tripe such as this story find a “liberal’s conversion” epiphany in the form of a desperate confrontation by a felon possessing a firearm which requires human manipulation and will to function.

Except some were killed by the “friendly fire” of other cops. Cops tend to start shooting and forget where the Hell they are at.
Let’s add another headline, “2,500 friendly dogs shot by cops since 2000.” I don’t really know how many family dogs were shot by cops, so I just picked a number. There have been more than we can count, though.
