'Dancing With the Stars' Finale with Bristol Palin Mon 8pm Tues-9 Live Thread! VOTE 800-868-3407
WJRT-TV ^ | 11/22/10

Tonight is the final chance for the three remaining contestants on "Dancing With the Stars" to impress the viewers at home.

As we've seen this season in particular, high scores from the judges may be nice. But, it's the viewers who matter because their votes can make an impact.

Going into tonight's season finale are Jennifer Grey, Kyle Massey & Bristol Palin.

Getting to this point wasn't always a smooth trip. There were some tense moments at the production office for "Dancing With the Stars."

ABC says a white powder in an envelope was delivered to the office this past Friday. It turned out to be talcum powder.

But, before they knew that, hazardous materials officials with the city of Los Angeles, fire department, police and FBI arrived at the studio lot where the ABC show airs.

This comes just days after the shock that viewers have put low-scorer Bristol Palin in the finals of "Dancing With the Stars," while voting off Brandy, who's had some of the highest scores from the judges.

Watch tonight's show at 8 p.m. and the results show Tuesday at 9 p.m. on ABC.

I did see that, and I have been noticing that Mark seems to be attached to Bristol, and it is not reciprocal. He is only 24, but he seems to be very nice and comes from a nice Family.

I hope that they at least remain friends, she could use a male influence that is not a slug like Levi elcreepo.

I think all of the finalist will be doing the show tours of NYC for DWTS until after Thanksgiving. Then Bristol will be joining her mom on the book tour. Grampa and Grandma Palin have a place in Palm Springs IIRC. THey may have T-dinner there.

Mark is going to be on tour for three weeks with Stompin or something like that take a break and then tour the US with his band. (Hough and Ballas)

Now how are we going to get her from her mom’s tour bus to Mark’s tour bus? They both will be in fly over country.

Everywhere I have read how “BRISTOL PALIN COMES IN THIRD” just goes to show who the REAL star of this show was

I never have watched DWTS before either and never will again, unless maybe Willow!:)

Same here. I find the show tedious and really do not care about most of the dancing as it is pretty predictable with all the same old moves and feelings. That is why I really did like Bristol and also Kile to a certain degree. At least they were fresh and different. I really liked the dance that Bristol did when she wore the hood. It had such a touching and mysterious feeling to it.

Bristol carries with her a feeling of youth, wholesomeness and life that is sadly lacking in Hollywood. She truly did shine and she conducted herself with much grace. She did us well!

Yes, she’s full of it and like you said, beneath contempt, but she has her trophy, so all is well in her life.

LOL.

I think Bristol did a great job throughout the series. She was mostly upbeat, very dignified. There was a point when her little sister called someone gay or some such. Bristol apologized for her sister.

Bristol did cry once but I think that was just for scripted effect I think. Most times she smiled and whenever asked a question she responded very nicely. She has little dance/entertainment background. She wasn’t the greatest dancer. Frankly I think third is a darn good showing for Bristol; she should be way proud.

Kyle had personality plus. He wasn’t all that great of a dancer but he sure had fun dancing. If he’d won I’d have been happy.

Jennifer, like so many pointed out, was an ersatz professional dancer. I don’t know what the rules are but it sure seems unfair to have those other dancers have to compete against Jennifer Grey.

Jennifer was a good dancer. I really enjoy this show and love to watch the dancing. Some folks, they like football. and nobody makes fun of them. But I digress.

I thought all that teary angst was overkill. I do think she was destined to win and the tears were scripted to garner sympathy from the audience.

These reality shows are heavily scripted. I say this as a reality show junkee, not that I’m all that proud of that.

I’d suggest the universe has unfolded as it should. To all those who say Palin is so hated, I’d suggest that Bristol Palin got carried along because so many people like Palin. While Bristol improved her dancing quadruple, it really wasn’t until the last three shows or so that she really blossomed. A lot of waaaaay better dancers got booted off, including my original choice of Audrina Patridge, because Bristol was kind of a straw poll for Sarah. That and she’s a delightful young woman as I saw it.

ABC did a fine job defending Bristol from the nut cases. Hell, it was win-win...Bristol brought so much attention to ABC they made out like bandits.

Just wait till Christine O’Donnell goes on the show. The libtards will blow up all their TV’s.

You didn’t let them down. Jennifer was the best dancer, Kyle and Bristol were about even at the technique, but Kyle wasn’t shy, so he scored a few more points on his enthusiasm. Bristol didn’t have much confidence to begin with and just in the last few weeks finally broke out of her shell—just not in time. I would savor those scores from Len, if I were her. He’s a stickler!

I adore Sarah and Bristol is very pretty and seems to be a nice girl.
She did very well not to have any dancing experience and conducted herself like a young lady.
I’m so glad she made it to number three.

None of the dancers this season compared to dancers of past seasons.
But of all of this season’s dancers, Jennifer was the best.
She’s a lovely, talented woman in remarkable shape for a 50 year old.

(so go ahead, start flaming)

.
