Look I adore the palin family. But come on, gray was clearly the best dancer by a mile.
I did say she was the best dancer. If fans hadn’t been involved, Brandy would’ve given her a run for that mirror ball. But, unlike Bristol and Kyle, Jennifer didn’t really improve much from her first weeks, and part of the celebrity dancing bit was the journey from inexperience to what the professional dancers could get out of the celebrities. She made missteps that weren’t counted against her and her experience by the judges. But she was the best dancer of the three tonight, and she deserves credit for her performances, for her age and whatever her physical problems were. Lots of hard work from all the dancers, good and bad. Couldn’t do any of it myself.
Two thoughts about her saying she has herniated a disc. Either she lied to get sympathy and that is bad, or she told the truth and put herself in terrible jeopardy by not rehabbing for a few months while she healed.
What kind of a role model is that for Children, especially her own? what about Young People that are watching and they have injuries, but do not stop practicing or performing because look at Jennifer, she won. This comes down to very poor choices, which is what a 17 year old Bristol was accused of. what about a 50 year old woman that does not see a problem with her own choices.
hmmm - let's see. the contest is supposed to be an amateur paired with a professional - the latter bringing the amateur along week after week.
Bristol was a total non-dancer - who learned fast and improved remarkably over the weeks.
Jennifer is the daughter of one of the great dancers of the last few decades - so it's reasonable to assume she has been dancing all her life - and good enough to get the plum dancing role in "Dirty Dancing" with Patrick Swayze (whose mom operated a dance studio out of her home and he was also dancing from a toddler. He was great.)
So, Jennifer, the life long and professional dancer was a better dancer than the amateur? Wow, now isn't that just amazing? NOT
Even Mark pointed out that the show is SUPPOSED to pair an amateur with professional.
I call fowl.
But I'm glad Bristol didn't win in the end. She has too much going for her to get into that life. She did herself up proud to get to the finals. And I think she got that far because the public indentified with as a coming into it with no experience and making such great strides, week after week. She never fell, she never flubbed - she just kept improving. Pretty damn good.
