'Dancing With the Stars' Finale with Bristol Palin Mon 8pm Tues-9 Live Thread! VOTE 800-868-3407
WJRT-TV ^ | 11/22/10

Tonight is the final chance for the three remaining contestants on "Dancing With the Stars" to impress the viewers at home.

As we've seen this season in particular, high scores from the judges may be nice. But, it's the viewers who matter because their votes can make an impact.

Going into tonight's season finale are Jennifer Grey, Kyle Massey & Bristol Palin.

Getting to this point wasn't always a smooth trip. There were some tense moments at the production office for "Dancing With the Stars."

ABC says a white powder in an envelope was delivered to the office this past Friday. It turned out to be talcum powder.

But, before they knew that, hazardous materials officials with the city of Los Angeles, fire department, police and FBI arrived at the studio lot where the ABC show airs.

This comes just days after the shock that viewers have put low-scorer Bristol Palin in the finals of "Dancing With the Stars," while voting off Brandy, who's had some of the highest scores from the judges.

Watch tonight's show at 8 p.m. and the results show Tuesday at 9 p.m. on ABC.

If it was a love-making contest, Bristol and Mark would win!!!

My dance teacher once said that ballroom and particularly the latin part was just foreplay set to music.

He/she loves fighting the conspiracy that is people wanting Bristol to win because it’s political and stuff that’s happy. Stop being happy and silly! Dancing With The Stars is serious business that may effect the entire country and ruin FreeRepublic forever! A bunch of FReepers agreeing is like communism. So, sit up straight, frown and stop liking Bristol Palin.

What little time I spend on FR these days is spent trying to push back even a little against the group-think, even though it's a near futile exercise. Then every once in awhile a post such as yours comes along to make the effort worthwhile. :)

Same here. It's like the housing crisis and somehow Bush is totally innocent in it.

You might enjoy this post then...

She may be liked the most (people here) but certainly isn't the best dancer. Way too wooden. If Bristol should win, what's that going to do for her self-esteem? She knows she's not the best dancer. So great, her mother's supporters may get her the win. Will that something for her to feel good about?

Exactly. How does voting for someone as mediocre as Bristol help her?

BTW, apparently Sarah has decided to use Bristol's appearance for political gain: Like her mom said on Sunday on Sarah Palin’s Alaska: “It will get the liberals all wee-wee’d up.” LOL! (post #910)

Yes, I noticed that too.

The parents said something about it on the video also

She is not as interested in shooting and commercial fishing as her mom and dad want her to be imo

I loved her remark to Sarah, "take your prom hair and go home" LOL!

She does love the outdoors though!

She's a good kid.

For the record, the quote you keep attributing to Sarah about the libs getting “wee wee’d up” was NOT referring to DWTS.

It’s from the second episode of Sarah Palin’s Alaska, where she and Todd are teaching Bristol to skeet shoot.

Watch it. You just might like it!

My husband and I were talking about this last night of course Jennifer Grey is the better dancer! But then they bring in old ladies like Florence Henderson and Cloris Leachman who are in their 70’s and somehow this is all about competitive dancing? It’s about dancing and the vote of the fans who they want to win. What is so puzzling about all of this? I hate cry babies!!!!!!

You got it right! If it is all about competitive dance then why have old ladies and old men and non dancers with no entertainment experience. Just have dancers compete.

LOL. Take marching orders!
Do not have fun and by golly do not vote!
DWTS doesn’t want viewer participation.
Do not vote for your favorites.
Only vote for the best or most talented dancers.
Do not vote for a rank amateur because she might be the most improved or you might like her better than the others for whatever reason or reasons!
Too bad if you like her mother or her father or her family!

Why would I vote for someone who I don’t think is the best dancer? Isn’t that is what it is about?
...............................................
...............................................

It’ about agenda voting, less about Bristol or DWTS, but an answer somehow to ACORN type vote tampering, known as “payback”.

Having said that, Bristol Palin will reap the benefit, and win as a true rookie paired up with a star dancer, which is basically what the show is supposed to be about. Jennifer Grey is a beautiful dancer with a wonderful story on her own, but let’s face it, she’s a dancer par excellance with plenty of dance exposure, dramatic acting experience, and no rookie. Given that, it’s easy, and truer to the basis for the show, to vote for Bristol. So, vote away.

Yea, I was wondering who that was next to Palin, then I read on the thread it was Bristol's partner's mom.
