Just heard a report that since childrens cold medications have been pulled off the shelves, children going to emergency rooms have dropped by 50%. Anyone heard about this?

I heard it last night. Kids were taking cough syrup behind their mother’s backs. So, how does that work?? This doesn’t make any sense at all. These are YOUNG kids. Are you telling me the kids are buying the stuff?? That doesn’t make sense. They’d buy chips first...

Just heard a report that since childrens cold medications have been pulled off the shelves, children going to emergency rooms for symptoms related to taking the wrong dosage have dropped by 50%. Anyone heard about this?

Making the medicine unavailable did limit the problems associated with it.

I'm curious though - if the medicine is no longer available, why has the number of kids showing up due to usage problems only reduced by 50%? Left overs in the cabinet?
