Under today’s Obamunist Fascism, they just have to pay enough to the DNC or specific Democrats to get a “Waiver” from the new regs, just like Obamacare.

I used to call the FDA postal workers in smocks.....now they’re closer to the Armed Torch Force in smocks.

Has anyone checked DU about this issue? We may have one of those rare convergence of agreement.

Looks like I am going to rock the boat. Packaging two different agents that cause dysrythmia (ethanol and caffeine) into one drink is probably a bad idea.

Geez, the latest trend... Hating on caffeinated booze. It’s just another stupid populist thing. Idiotic. Sheeple bleeting again.

How I hate Democracy.

Have a Jack and Coke and relax.

These new drinks have far more caffeine content than a coke.

Agree with the doc on this one! Alcohol + caffeine in the concentrations found in these drinks is deadly. As a recovering alcoholic, I used to drink indiscriminately, just pounding one beer after another after another until I was completely smashed. Then I started drinking the crap beer.

Put simply, if I consumed these alcoholic energy drinks the same way I consumed beers, I would be dead.

So are Jack and Cokes illegal, too, now? Just more overreaching by the all-powerful (in it’s own mind) fedgov...

OK, how about a Red Bull and Vodka, a common drink for well over a decade? That’s effectively all these are — prepackaged Red Bull and Vodkas...

It’s legal to buy and consume grain alchohol by the gallon but if you add any caffeine we’ll nail your ass to the wall.

FDA, EPA, ATF.....most of the Fed. Gubbermint alphabet groups should get the axe.

Like, for example, Rum and Coke? Kahlua and Coffee?

You're right!!!

They should have some nicotine in there as well!

All three legal, and easily taxable!

“after 75 years no no probablems”

Am I the only one who thinks that’s hilarious on a thread about mixing caffeine and alcohol? That’s exactly the way I talk after my second Jager Bomb (Jagermeister and Red Bull).

When (note that I say when) the FDA starts to ban drinks based on taste, that should be the first one to get it. Yuck.
