Yup .. Timmy.

Photobucket

God bless Scooter and his family, and damn the loose cannon with overwhelming authority, Fitzie, the slimey Armitage and his boss, Colin Powell .. who knew the truth. Before any BDSers leap to claim redundantly that Pres. Bush should have pardoned him, he made it clear it wouldn't have been appropriate as President for him to overturn our system of law and the jury.

Good article. Except for the reasoning on Bush not pardoning Libby.

Your explanation for that I agree with.

PLUS, the MSM headlines would have screamed “BUSHITLER pardons GESTAPO LEADER”, during the elections.

it wouldn't have been appropriate as President for him to overturn our system of law and the jury.

That is the primary reason that I saw President Bush as a Good President. And not just that once, but the fact that he has been consistently this way since he started in politics.

He was running for reelection as Governor, a woman who had violently killed her family and was due to be executed, suddenly got religion. The other candidate supported giving this woman a stay. All George Bush had to do, at that time, was give the poor woman a stay of execution, based on her finding God, and he would be guaranteed the election.

He said no. For the very same reason you stated.

The next Republican President should make his or her first order of business to give Scooter a full pardon, and apology for the miscarriage of justice.

“Yet neither Wilson was convicted of a felony.”

Yep. She should have been brought up on nepotism charges and he for later lying and changing his story. His actual ‘intel’ tended to validate the other WMD intel. “Why else would anyone came to Niger for ‘trade’???

I also wish Bush would come off the ‘there weren’t any’ (WMDs) thing. With the intel from all sources and the fact that they could have been shipped out before we got there... just the _possibility_ of that, should make it less of a ‘certainty’ that they didn’t have any.
